Parrot's New Page
Oops!, caught me while
I'm changing my web page, I'm working on a whole new web site for
all parrots. It will have information to help so other good
birds like me don't end up going to birdie jail just for going on
vacation. There will be
lots of books about all kinds of
parrots and other birds, even my wild cousins. Parrots will be
able to find a good
veterinarian who knows birds
insides and outsides. You'll find
sanctuaries,
aviaries and
training, so you can do tricks and
talk nicely. Oh, yeh, I hope you all heard my "Thank
You" for all who helped to pressure the wildlife
officials and governments to ensure I was returned to my family. To
be sure the same doesn't happen to you, visit my
C.I.T.E.S. page where you will find
links to the government forms you need to get your permit to travel
between countries. I have a page of news clips from what I
call my border drama
HERE,
which has links to the news sources for each article, I was on CBC
Radio, Tom Godfrey wrote about me in the Sun newspapers of Canada
and I was even mentioned on CNN's American Morning show.
Togo was hatched December
28, 1999 in Lake Mary, Florida. His parents Banche and Elvira came
from Africa in the early 70's before C.I.T.E.S. existed. Togo
was the 1st of 2 eggs and was 1st to hatch. He was raised by his
parents and sold to his owner, Bill Gorman in February 2000.
